Who are the guest speakers?

Brittany Won, a graduate of UC Santa Barbara, started her career in college counseling after completing her Bachelor’s in communications. She, then, went to take on the role of Project Manager at a non-profit organization’s social enterprise project – a vintage clothing store. She began pursuing her passion for food content creation on the side, which eventually led to a change in her career path.

Grant Bogorad, first graduated from Musicians Institute majoring in Guitar Performance, and continued his education at UCLA Extension shortly after. His career started as a graphic artist, designing menus, flyers, and posters for hotels, bars, and restaurants around Santa Monica. Grant, then, went onto work with Malibu Guitar Festival and Group Nine Media.

Both Brittany and Grant now work as Social Media Managers at Cooking Panda, a food content company with over 1.4 million followers on Instagram that creates and shares new recipes, cooking hacks, and food trends across multiple social media platforms. They will be speaking about their career pathways, the process of changing careers, and sharing what a typical work day looks like as a social media manager.
