Looking for a demolition/grading Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will report to the President and CEO of the company to actively bid on jobs/ prepare accurate proposal estimates, generate new leads, and maintain current client relationships.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
· Lead development, estimating, proposal writing, negotiation, closing, and customer
follow up.
· Manages project from the pre-bid to estimating phase including estimating extra items,
change orders, etc.
· Initiates client sales calls to generate new leads.
· Provide customer service follow up calls – offer services and make sure clients are happy
with the services provided.
· Attend job walks, review specifications, drawings, takeoff information, etc. to determine
scope and required contents of the proposal.
· Use bid management platforms to find and bid jobs.
· Attend industry related events and education opportunities.
· Maintains daily report of his/her/they activities and client pipeline of work.
· Perform additional assignments per supervisors’ direction.
REQUIREMENT
· Proficient at lead generation.
· MUST have experience and proficient in estimating software – STACKS and Plan Hub.
· Proficient knowledge of construction – specifically demolition & grading.
· Established customer base in the construction industry.
· Minimum 5 years of construction experience.
· Minimum of 3 years in an estimator role in the construction industry.
· Proven ability to read and extract all key data from blueprints and shop drawings for
developing accurate proposals.
· Must have a valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
· Must attend job walks, communicate effectively with customers, generate new sales, and
deliver accurate and competitive estimates/proposals.
· Experience in pursing 1M+ in bid opportunities.
· High success rate of contracting jobs that were bid.
· Advanced knowledge of estimating techniques and take offs.
· Knowledge of bid management platforms such as Plan Hub.
· Proficient with standard office equipment, PCs, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Excel), and
Adobe.
· Must be ambitious, self-starter, driven, and an excellent communicator.
· Be a dependable and strong team player.
