Legal/Office Assist – Part Time
Boutique law firm is seeking a strong legal/office assistant to support a busy practice. Candidate must be detailed oriented, have strong written and verbal communication skills, strong computer skills (Word, Outlook, Excel), and strong organizational skills. Candidates should have a working knowledge of how to maintain legal files and should be well versed in e-filing procedures.
Duties will include:
Answering phones and taking messages;
Keeping cases organized by establishing and organizing files; monitoring calendars; meeting deadlines; documenting actions; inputting information into file database and calendaring key dates; confirming case status with attorney.
Scheduling depositions; preparing and forwarding summonses and subpoenas;; preparing and filing discovery requests; preparing responses to opposing counsel; monitoring and obtaining discovery responses; organizing materials for team case review.
Organizing documents for court appearances.
