The Gilb Museum of Arcadia Heritage seeks a creative, personable individual who can help design and implement educational and interpretive materials for students. The Museum Education Intern would aid the Museum Education Coordinator in implementing educational programs for students in the community. As a Museum Education Intern, you will have the ability to make a lasting impact by helping to educate younger generations.
The ideal candidate would use their passion for teaching to help the Museum Education Coordinator in the Museum’s educational programming such as the Educational Kits distribution program and virtual classes. The intern may also be involved in making educational videos, helping in designing and implementing various Museum social media strategies, creating promotional flyers, and data entry. Candidates must be able to both work in a team and independently. Additionally, the intern will have strong writing, speaking, communicative, organizational, and customer service skills. The intern may also help with other projects, including participating in school programs, helping with Girl Scout programs, and also participating in the Museum’s daily operations, which may include attending meetings, serving as a Museum docent, and interacting with the community.
