Human Resources Corporate Trainer

What We’re Looking For:

As a key staff member of the HR team, the Corporate Trainer will source, develop and deliver, training programs as well as plan and facilitate Agency events for various levels of staff while monitoring training and event outcomes for effectiveness. The Corporate Trainer must be familiar with various platforms of training delivery including in-person, virtual, and e-learning methods as well as have strong project/event management experience.

Agency training programs and events include department/programmatic training, management development and performance management training, and planning/coordination of various annual staff-related Agency events. The ideal candidate will have the following responsibilities:

Identify and develop management training programs and learning tools for supervisors and managers

Research new training techniques, make enhancements to existing methods, and standardize training plans.

Coordinate with Head Start program heads on staff development training

Coordinate program training with Family Services program head

Evaluate existing programs such as new hire on-boarding and recommend/implement updates as needed

Organize and facilitate Agency-wide annual events including but not limited to: Manager’s retreat, all-staff appreciation, open enrollment events, benefits & wellness fairs and holiday events.

Supervise the HR Training Specialist by leading, coaching and directing work assignments

Coordinate the use and future integration of the LMS with current software and technology and facilitate training for all staff to maximize use and efficiencies

Ensure that all training activities and events are tracked and appropriately budgeted

Ensure HR compliance training is completed and documented

Develop and maintain leadership programs that assist in the development of managers and supervisors

Collaborate with Director of HR on employee recognition initiatives, employee climate surveys and the internship/mentoring programs

Serve as system administrator for enrolling and troubleshooting e-learning issues

Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Human Resource Management, Organizational Development or a related field.

SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred or Certificate in HR Learning & Development

Five (5) years’ demonstrated work experience with teaching or corporate training programs with an emphasis on development and delivery. (Volunteer experience of a minimum of 3 years may be considered).

Strong knowledge of training techniques, various training models; including learning theories.

Experience working with an organization of 300+ employees

Demonstrated experience in planning large corporate events

Experience facilitating work groups

Experience in supervising staff

Demonstrating knowledge of local, state and federal employment labor regulations including but not limited to: FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC etc,

Familiarity with SABA/Halogen LMS and performance management system. Familiarity with HRIS systems. Strong computer skills, including MS Office and database skills. HRIS experience required.
