Work closely with designer in small boutique interior design firm. Excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience. Main focus of the position is office management, but will also include assisting designer in preparing presentations, and helping to create presentation boards; acting as a liaison between designer, vendors, and craftsmen; meeting tradesmen at client's residence and overseeing installations; visit vendors to drop off/pick up finish samples, and take photos of work in progress; occasionally shopping for fabrics at Pacific Design Center, and maintaining fabric and resource library at office.
Office duties will include invoicing clients, and tracking costs on client billing sheets; issuing purchase orders, preparing checks, and filing; running errands and returning fabric samples to PDC; shipping packages, and occasional deliveries.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, and have the ability to work independently. They will also have experience or interest in social media networking/blogging to help expand the marketing of our firm.
SKILLS NEEDED: MAC proficient, Quickbooks & Excel knowledgeable, proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and/or Illustrator. Must have knowledge of AutoCAD. SketchUp knowledge preferred. Must have a reliable car.
Position available IMMEDIATELY. Part-time. Pay based on experience.
