A unique, creative ‘collab’ for a talented cartoonist!
New Yorker cartoonist seeks collaborator. I have had several cartoons published in the New Yorker. I am looking for an artist to draw my ideas for both The New Yorker and a variety of other publications.
Visual sense of humor is a plus, as is fluency with American culture, values, and neuroses. In other words, if you get the jokes and have ideas as to how to make them even funnier, we will work well together!
Open to many styles of drawing, but line drawing is preferred.
📢 NOTE: Please be aware there is a difference between most comic book art and the cartoons in The New Yorker, which typically employ a simpler approach.
Any income earned from New Yorker publication will result in a 50/50 split. Non-New Yorker cartoon requests will not be remunerated but will be a great opportunity to grow your portfolio.
Willing to expand our collaboration to other artistic business ventures that either of us might have.
In addition to your talent, I value availability and enthusiasm to create content each week on an ongoing basis. Pencils up!
