Position: Financial Planning Assistant
Kondo Wealth Advisors is seeking a bright, warm, and driven client facing Financial Planning Assistant to
join our team. We are a financial planning firm providing a suite of wealth management services
including comprehensive planning, investment, and risk management services. We specialize in servicing
the Asian American community because it is an underserved market that has unique cultural sensitivity
around money and family. We are personally invested in helping clients achieve their goals and dreams.
The Financial Planning Assistant will be responsible for managing all aspects of client relationships and
tailoring investment portfolios based on the clients’ financial planning goals, investment objectives and
personal needs. Other responsibilities include: review of marketing materials, investment analysis and
modeling, cash flow analysis, and risk analysis (life insurance and long term care). This Assistant will be
on the path of becoming a Financial Advisor and becoming an integral part of the management team.
Responsibilities
Work directly with the advisors and clients to increase growth and firm revenue
Independently manage client contacts and further client connections
Assist with the design of customized comprehensive financial plans, projections, and
recommendations
Support clients in the implementation of collective recommendations, working collaboratively with
the clients’ CPAs, attorneys, and other professionals
Assist with client meetings by reviewing/preparing notes, active participation, and ensuring action
items are completed or distributed timely
Assist with the execution of financial decisions to progress client servicing, coordinating with
advisors and support staff
Assist with marketing campaigns by reviewing articles, ads, webinars/seminars
Assist with the sale and servicing of commission based accounts (LI/LTC/Annuities)
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and technical knowledge in financial planning
CFP® designation or currently pursuing designation
Minimum of 7 years in client facing role
Previous experience in the financial services industry, leading/supervising a team
Experience in commission business, accounting, economics, and/or taxes preferred
Strong accuracy and attention to detail
Expertise in financial planning software, including Microsoft Office suite and industry software
Excellent verbal and communication skills
Professional attitude and ability to operate in a versatile, fast paced environment
Experience with online calendars and workflow programs to work collaboratively remotely
