The UX Designer will provide business analysis and user experience design to the L.A. Care Health Plan Communications Team in support of the Community Research Centers with an emphasis on developing a robust design system, digital brand guidelines, and templates optimized for responsive, cross-platform use. The role will be responsible for end-to-end experiential improvements to Community Research Centers digital experiences.
Works closely with the Digital Team to execute digital strategy, ensuring we can effectively tell the story.
Primary duties include conducting competitor analysis, product feature analysis, and review of comparable products in adjacent markets. Identifying target user groups, and lead user testing of high-fidelity prototypes and near-final products to observe pain points for the user, and other possible weaknesses in the product.
Creating wireframes, flowcharts, prototypes, and user experience “happy path” maps for tickets and from a larger, strategic sense, for the websites as a whole. Developing and maintaining documentation on all relevant stakeholders and their positions regarding content requirements. Indexing the current CRC digital experiences and making recommendations for streamlining and improving them. Coordinating with the development team to insure effective and realistic user experience for virtual programming and hopeful mobile applications. Be an advocate for our customers, creating a deep understanding and empathy for them.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum 4 years of professional experience working full-time in an organizational setting.
Fluency in using industry standard design and prototype tools (eg. Zeplin, InVision, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite) along with other tools to manage work.
Strong online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience in user-centered design solutions.
In lieu of degree, equivalent education and/or experience may be considered.
Light (Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly. Requires walking, standing to a significant degree, dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a variety of standard office equipment.
