Our Interiors and Furniture Design Team would love to bring on a student who is eager to enter the luxury design space. We have several Interior projects in progress and in the design phase of a custom furniture collection. If you are interested in social media, marketing, writing and have the 2D modeling and rendering capabilities needed for the role- feel free to apply as well!
This is a very unique role that will allow you to quickly utilize the training and education skills you’ve gained this far with hands on experience to cultivate a deeper connection to the incredible world of design. You will be working a small team of seasoned professionals on incredible projects who are very dedicated to the work and truly love the creative process and all the steps along the way. Ideally we would prefer a student that is closer to the end of the program or has graduated with the intention to join the team as we grow. We are of course open to anyone that has the ability to do the 2D modeling required for this role to assist our Interiors projects and has the work credit to fulfill as well, so please do not hesitate to apply if your capable of space and furniture planing (rendering & modeling) We are confident that we can can guide you in all other areas knowing that anyone passionate about the industry, who is immersed into active projects, along with the tools you’ve cultivated this far, it will all come naturally and we look forward to being on that journey with you!
Requirements:
- Proven experience or internship in a design-related role is preferred. But not required
- Must be proficient in modeling software such AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.
- Strong understanding of design principles, space planning, and material selection.
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of organization and time management.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, as well as independently on assigned tasks.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate to develop and implement design concepts for lighting & structural/functional furniture design.
- Creating drawings, layouts, and 3D models using software such as CAD, Revit, and SketchUp. **Having your own laptop and software is a plus**
- Prepare presentation materials, including mood boards, renderings, and visualizations to effectively communicate design ideas to artist and contractors creating products (welders, stone cutters, and the like)
- Assist in sourcing and selecting materials, finishes, furniture, and accessories that align with the project requirements and design vision.
- Contribute to the development of design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including design team, contractors, and suppliers, to ensure seamless project coordination and successful project delivery.
- Maintain accurate project files, records, and documentation for future reference.
