Job Title: Marketing Intern (Unpaid)

Hours: 12- 15/week, May – August (summer semester)

Position Overview:
This unpaid internship offers a unique opportunity for someone passionate about mental health, entrepreneurship, and marketing to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in supporting neurodivergent communities and developing innovative marketing strategies. As an intern, you will assist with implementing my marketing plan, manage networking opportunities, and support media outreach efforts, while also contributing to social media and blog content creation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Networking & Media Inquiries:
Assist in managing incoming media inquiries and build relationships with journalists, bloggers, and influencers in the mental health, entrepreneurship, and neurodivergent spaces. - Research & Media Interviews:
Research relevant media outlets, podcasts, and interview opportunities for the founder and develop a strategy for pitching and securing interviews that align with the brand’s mission. - Blog Development & Management:
Help create and manage blog posts on topics related to mental health, entrepreneurship, and neurodivergence. Assist in writing, editing, and scheduling blog content. - Social Media Management:
Provide support with scheduling and posting on social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.), ensuring content aligns with the brand’s voice. Monitor engagement and assist in responding to inquiries/comments when needed. - Content Creation & Strategy:
Support the development of marketing materials (graphics, copy, and videos) for various digital platforms. Assist in content planning and brainstorming new marketing initiatives. - Administrative Support:
Help with general administrative tasks as needed, including organizing contacts, tracking media outreach progress, and reporting on marketing efforts.
Qualifications:
- Strong interest in mental health, neurodivergence, and entrepreneurship.
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.) and basic content creation tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
- Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to create engaging content.
- Excellent research and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive.
- A passion for promoting mental health awareness and supporting neurodivergent individuals in business and leadership.
