Co-Op Preschool Teacher
Job Type: Part-Time
Schedule: Monday- Thursday 25-30/week, with possibility for growth. (Substitute hours also available).

Located in South Pasadena, Oneonta offers our families a unique environment designed to foster parent/child relationships and encourage all aspects of your child’s social, emotional, physical, creative, and educational development. OCNS is play-based, child-led Co-Op preschool that utilizes an emergent curriculum that will foster a love for learning through various formats and experiences.
Job Description:
The Teacher will work cooperatively with a Co-Teacher in providing for each child’s social-emotional, intellectual, and physical development and shall work closely with the Co-Teacher in caring for each child’s health and safety. The Teacher shall further develop their own knowledge and understanding of the children by observing, discussing, and evaluating events that occur during the school day. This position will report directly to the Co-Op Director with collaboration from the Parent Board of Directors. Familiarity with a Cooperative school model, either as a teacher or parent, highly encouraged to apply.
The ideal candidate would be available to begin training and onboarding with a reduced schedule, initially (10-15 hrs/week). Full classroom integration to be expected by March (25-30 hrs/week). Applicants with variable schedule availability are encouraged to apply for Substitute Teacher opportunities. Hours for the 23-24 school year would be Monday-Thursday 8:00am-3:00pm. Some schedule flexibility is negotiable.
Requirements:
-3 years experience preferred, 1 year required
-Live Scan clearance
-TB test and immunizations as outlined by the state of California required
-COVID-19 vaccination required
-18+ years old
Education:
-12 ECE units minimum (including the required courses outlined by the state of CA)
– Associate’s Degree
-Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (preferred)

Compensation: Based up on experience. Starting range $19-$20/hr
