POSITION SUMMARY
Interior Design Intern to serve as administrative support for design staff during all phases of high-end
residential interior design projects.
This position requires some classes in interior or furniture design and a strong ability to time-manage,
organize, and follow through on tasks. Currently we are looking for a 1-2 day/ week commitment. This
position is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to learn firsthand about the daily operations of
a residential interior design firm.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the design staff with various tasks as needed, including but not limited to:
– Assume lead responsibility for maintaining the materials library, including sorting and filing fabrics,
samples, and tear sheets. Proactively organize and update items and make suggestions for continual
improvement.
– Sort fabrics, samples, and tear sheets and return to design showrooms.
– Maintain Purchase Order binders.
– Run miscellaneous errands such as deliveries and pick-ups at showrooms & workrooms.
– Provide assistance at project installations.
– Provide assistance in staging homes for professional photography.
– Call or email vendors as needed.
– Source inspiration images and create presentation boards as needed
– Answer phones/ voice messages
– Other duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
– Two years of course work in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Furniture Design, or equivalent
– Experience in handling administrative duties
– Experience and comfort working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
– During business hours, access to a reliable vehicle is required.

– Knowledge of – or ability to quickly learn
– Ability to professionally represent company to showrooms and vendors
– Ability to interact with peers, management, and other staff in a professional manner
– Ability to work within a team and proactively create harmonious and professional relationships
– Willingness to observe company policies, procedures, and the instructions of the management
COMPENSATION
– Compensation based on experience
– School credit would be available
Office hours are Monday-Friday, 9:00am – 6:00pm, but we are flexible with school hours. No weekend work is required.
