We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant to Project Manager to join our dynamic real estate development team. As an Assistant to Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the successful entitlement and development of real estate projects. You will collaborate closely with the Project Manager and other team members to ensure projects are properly entitled, meet regulatory requirements, and progress smoothly through the development lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
  1. Project Support:
  • Assist the Project Manager in all aspects of real estate development projects, from initial concept through final completion.
  • Conduct thorough research and gather data on zoning regulations, land use restrictions, environmental assessments, and other factors influencing project entitlements.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of entitlement applications, including assembling required documents, coordinating with consultants, and ensuring timely submission.
  • Maintain project files, documentation, and records, ensuring they are organized and easily accessible.
  1. Entitlement Process:
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop and execute strategies for securing project entitlements, including coordinating with architects, engineers, legal counsel, and other stakeholders.
  • Track entitlement timelines, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring adherence to project schedules.
  • Assist in the coordination and participation in meetings with government officials, community stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to present project plans, address concerns, and obtain necessary approvals.
  • Monitor changes in local zoning codes, land use policies, and regulatory requirements, and communicate relevant updates to the Project Manager.
  1. Communication and Documentation:
  • Assist in the preparation of project reports, presentations, and updates for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication channels between the Project Manager, development team members, consultants, and other involved parties.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and follow-up action items to ensure effective project coordination.
  • Support the Project Manager in the preparation and tracking of project budgets, contracts, and related financial documentation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Urban Planning, Business, or a related field.
  • Some knowledge and experience in real estate development, entitlements, land use planning, or a similar role.
  • Basic understanding of entitlement processes, zoning regulations, and land use policies.
  • Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to gather and interpret relevant data.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools.
  • Familiarity with real estate development software or platforms is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and problem-solve effectively.
