Studio Overview: The Little Things is a full-service interior design studio that specializes in creating beautiful, functional spaces for families. Job Overview: The Little Things is looking for a highly motivated and collaborative assistant designer to join our growing team. This role will offer a unique opportunity to grow within a small design studio that is rapidly expanding. The candidate will support our team in all phases of the design process and must be both highly creative and exceptional at project management. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Creation of floor plans, elevations, custom cabinetry and joinery drawings, and construction packages in AutoCAD
  • Assistance in building design presentations
  • Attend site visits, measure spaces, and site documentation 
  • Coordination with trades and suppliers to ensure accuracy of design vision
  • Sourcing support 
  • Preparation of purchase orders and delivery tracking 
  • Project management from scheduling installations and deliveries to tracking budgets and invoicing while maintaining project timelines 

Qualifications/Requirements

  • BA in Interior Design (preferred) 
  • 1-3 years of professional experience at an interior design studio (internships considered), including client facing experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proficiency in SketchUp desirable, but not required 
  • Experience with purchasing processes and budget management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills   
  • Highly detail oriented and strategic thinker
  • Someone who is a positive and resourceful team-player
