The Music Center’s Marketing and Communications intern will create and implement a marketing strategy for The Music Center’s Dance DTLA in summer 2023. The intern will be engaged in all aspects of the promotion for this series, including social and digital media strategy, media relations, collateral development and distribution, and research and analytics, among other tasks. Importantly, the intern will gain significant hands-on knowledge and experience in a high-energy, fast-paced, collaborative environment and will gain important transferable skills that can be leveraged for future opportunities in marketing for the arts and/or other nonprofit organizations. The intern will work approximately 35 hours per week from June through October 2023.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified candidates will possess a creative mindset and problem-solving skills and an ability to think critically. Strong project management and organizational skills are required, as well as the ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in a written and verbal format. The candidate must be willing to collaborate with all colleagues and have a keen interest in marketing and communications. Experience using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) is required; working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.

- 2023 Arts Internship positions will be open to currently enrolled undergraduate (2 or 4-year) and community college students who reside or attend college in Los Angeles County. Recent graduates may apply as long as they have completed their degree between May 1 – December 1, 2023. The Department of Arts and Culture encourages eligible students from all ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds, as well as disabled students, to apply. Eligible students may participate in the program only once.
- Note: Students who have already earned a BA, BS, or a higher degree are not eligible for the Los Angeles County Arts Internship Program.
