Job Summary:
Turner Henningsen Wolf & VanDenburg, LLP is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal I to provide vital support to our legal team. This entry-level position is designed for candidates new to the legal profession or with minimal experience, offering an excellent opportunity to grow within a collaborative and dynamic environment. The successful candidate will assist in case management, document preparation, and legal research under the supervision of senior attorneys.
Key Responsibilities:
- Legal Document Drafting and Preparation: Assist in drafting simple legal documents, including correspondence and pleadings, ensuring compliance with court requirements.
- Case Management and Organization: Organize and maintain case files, including both electronic and hard copies, and assist in calendaring and tracking deadlines.
- Research and Legal Support: Conduct basic legal research using online databases and assist in compiling case summaries and evidence.
- Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support, including scheduling and managing attorney calendars, client communication, and document filing.
Qualifications:
- College degree or completion of a paralegal certificate program or equivalent education.
- Familiarity with legal terminology, procedures, and document preparation; understanding of legal procedures is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, legal research tools, and case management software.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Paralegal Certificate (or similar) preferred.
Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Basic understanding of legal research databases.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities.
Pay Range: $65,000 – $75,000 per year
