Specific projects for the RA include: – Map hurricane tracking data from coordinates to cities and zip codes. – Visualize the location (and cluster) of stores that close due to hurricanes. – Visualize individuals’ travel choises to other store locations after a store closure. – Use the Google Maps API to calculate driving/walking distances between individuals’ home locations and store locations. This is an ongoing project and we may extend the list of projects to span the full academic year.
