Description:
UC is looking for a dedicated and perseverant Intern to work for 3 months on a Biomedical project (40
hours a week). The objective of the project is to develop an on-body physiological monitoring system
prototype for search and rescue operations. An analytical model will identify the level of activity of
personnel wearing the on-body sensors. The candidate will work on developing signal processing
methods to analyze data from on-body sensors and distinguish different physical activity levels of the
personnel.
The Internship can be promoted to full-time R&D engineer position depending on the dedicated and
successful performance of the candidate.
Requirements:
Education: Master’s Degree in Electrical or Biomedical Engineering
Experience with MATLAB and/or Python
Ability to apply knowledge of signal processing to biomedical data
Ability to independently solve problems and try out solutions in a rapid manner
Knowledgeable and experience in machine learning methods is preferred
